Sparco ADV SC

Sparco ADV Supercarbon is the flagship product of the Italian company. This seat is the only one that has four anchor points and has passed very demanding quasi-static tests received FIA 8862-2009 approval. The padding fabric of this product has properties that ensure that in the event of a fire the material does not ignite. In addition, the same fabric absorbs a very large part of the impact force.

It is not only the fabric padding of the ADV seat that is unique, equally cosmic solutions have been used in the construction of its shell. Made of an ultralight material such as carbon, it features incredible mechanical resistance. The tests to which the seat was subjected were developed in conjunction with the FIA and involved applying heavy loads via three hydraulic pistons at the head, shoulder and pelvic levels of the seated driver.

The first test involves applying the pistons from inside the seat and bending it back. The second test, a twin to the earlier one, involved applying the pistons to the backrest and bending it backward. In both tests, the seat withstood a thrust of 7,000N in the pistons at head height, at pelvic height the load counter stopped at 14,000N while at shoulder height it was 11,000N in the first test and 14,000N in the second. The third test, called the crush test, consisted of applying the pistons at shoulder height and trying to crush the chair. In this test, the chair withstood 30000N of pressure from each piston.

Such excellent test results were obtained thanks to the special design of the seat. During an accident, ADV Supercarbon is able to change its shape. It is its flexibility that makes the seat so excellent at protecting drivers from injury. Test results showed that the bucket can withstand a 70G impact and a pressure of 3 tons. These values exceed the FIA 8855-1999 homologation standards by as much as three times!

This chair is the highest achievement in the field of rider safety, guaranteed by the latest technology. The seat weighs 10.3 kg. Also available in a higher version ADV SC-H.
