The Heusinkveld MagShift is a large, sequential gear lever inspired by motorsport-inspired solutions. The compact design includes an innovative magnetic gearshift system that simulates the feeling of actually engaging a gear.
Adjustable
The magnet-based gearshift system is adjustable in three planes. The total force and the forces during upshifts and downshifts can be individually adjusted.
This allows you to set a firm/harder shift to a higher gear and a softer/lighter shift to a lower gear if that's your preference. At the highest setting, the forces of real racing cars can be faithfully reproduced.
Sensors & Electronics
Optoelectronic sensors are used to detect changes. This means that there is no wear and tear on electronic components, which guarantees reliable operation for many years. The system is ready to use when MagShift is connected via USB - you can immediately assign functions in your favorite simulation software.
Mini button box
Gain full control with 3 additional buttons located in the MagShift base. Buttons can be assigned to any available function in your favorite simulation software.
Additional possibilities are unlocked by installing the Heusinkveld SmartControl software. With SmartControl, you can configure up to 10 fully custom profiles using a lever and 3 buttons.
With Heusinkveld SmartControl, you have the option to expand the lever outputs as well as 3 additional buttons for a total of 10 fully custom outputs/functions. You can configure and customize outputs using the easy-to-use editor in SmartControl.
For each individual input signal, you can configure the primary and secondary outputs. The output can be used as a joystick or any keyboard key (including modifier keys such as Shift, Ctrl, Alt, etc.).
The primary and secondary outputs can be activated simultaneously, with a delay or independently. These functions can also be time-controlled. How long you press a button or move a lever determines whether the primary, secondary, or both outputs will be activated.
Such a wide range of configurations makes it much easier to use your favorite vehicles or various simulation software. The ability to save multiple profiles further supports multi-platform support, making quick changes easier.
Shared profiles with other SmartControl-compatible products
If you have other Heusinkveld products using SmartControl, it is possible to create a single profile that includes multiple SmartControl-compatible Heusinkveld devices. This allows you to change MagShift, handbrake and pedal settings at the same time.
Assembly
Each MagShift comes with a U-shaped mounting bracket, making it easy to install the levers in the simulator.
The mounting brackets are attached to the simulator with just two screws, ensuring a small size of the entire installation. MagShift is then attached to this grip.
When mounting on aluminium profiles, MagShift requires only one profile slot for attachment.
The mounting bracket allows several adjustments that allow you to fine-tune the position of your MagShift.

Swivel adjustment: by rotating the U-shaped handle relative to the mounting platform.

Height adjustment: by selecting one of the 3 horizontal rows of mounting holes in the U-shaped bracket.

Tilt adjustment: by choosing any combination of diagonal mounting holes in the U-shaped bracket.
Plug & Play
MagShift works in plug-and-play mode. The gear lever works with 5 outputs right out of the box (alternating between a higher gear, a lower gear and 3 push-button outputs). To use the 10 fully customizable outputs, download and use Heusinkveld SmartControl.
Heusinkveld MagShift is designed to work exclusively on PC/Windows systems.
